Privacy policy
Kitakits Tickets · support@kitakitsticket.com
This policy explains how Kitakits Tickets handles personal information, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Buyers: name, email, optional mobile number, and the order details.
- Guests: the name on each ticket and answers to the organiser's questions. These can include meal choices, dietary needs, allergies and accessibility needs, which may be health information.
- Organisers: contact details, ABN and bank details for payouts. Bank details are stored encrypted.
- Technical: basic logs (such as IP address and browser) to keep the service secure.
We don't collect or store card numbers. Payments are handled by Stripe.
Why we collect it
To sell and deliver tickets, check guests in, let organisers run their event (for example catering and accessibility), process refunds and payouts, prevent fraud, and meet our legal obligations. We only ask for sensitive information such as dietary or accessibility needs with your consent, when you choose to answer.
Emails we send
We email your tickets, refund notices and, when you ask for one, a login link for "My tickets". We only send marketing emails, from us or from an organiser, if you ticked the box for it at checkout. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time.
Who we share it with
If an organiser has added Meta (Facebook) Pixel or Google Analytics to their event, those services are told when you view that event, start checkout or buy (with the order value, not your name or email). They may use cookies for this. It only happens on that organiser's event pages.
- The organiser of the event you booked, for running that event only.
- Service providers who help us operate: payments (Stripe), email delivery and web hosting. Some of them may store data outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We don't sell personal information.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct your information, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing support@kitakitsticket.com. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed for tax and legal purposes (generally 7 years), and remove guest question answers when they're no longer needed for the event.
